Dead by Daylight has had a lot of content recently. After the release of the Hour of the Witch content and the new mechanics therein, it seems that the developers have even more in store. Yesterday, Behavior Interactive announced the upcoming chapter of the game titled Portrait of a Murder, as well as the impending release of Dead by Daylight on the Epic Games Store.

All of Dead by Daylight’s content will be made available on the Epic Games Store in December. That includes the base game, all the content updates, and all the DLC, which will be available on the day of the Epic Games Store launch. The Epic Store release will also allow cross-platform play and cross-platform progression with the Steam version and Stadia.

The Portrait of a Murder DLC will be available this month and features the game’s first-ever Mexican American character, as well as another Latin American newcomer. It will be priced at $6.99 on PC and $7.99 on console versions. It includes a killer, a survivor, and a new map. If you would like to learn more about the specifics of the content in the DLC, you can check out the official patch notes for the Player Test Build here.

Dave Richard, the Creative Director of Dead by Daylight commented on the upcoming DLC release, stating: “Portrait of a Murder is Dead by Daylight going back to its roots: an original story and universe, set in mystery, dark fantasy and fear. The new characters are also unique and diverse, which is part of our DNA, and representative of our player base.”

A lot of great content seems to be coming for Dead by Daylight fans. With the player base expanding with the Epic Games Store launch, there will be even more people to enjoy the game as well. The new killer design looks cool, and I like the artistic motif. Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come in 2022.
