Indeed! There is something to be said about the gravitational pull of the PC, the mass towards which a majority of games seem to migrate. It was announced yesterday afternoon that you’ll be able to play as another hair dad on PC this January when God of War (2018) comes to Steam. I also think I’ll stop with the Stargate SG-1 references now, I’m sure I’ll get complaints about that later.

Yes, the one with Teal’c and his little scamp running around his feet is coming to adventure up the mountain through Nordic mythology on January 14th, 2022, on Steam. This port will feature quite a bit of improvement on the already impressive PS4 and PS5 versions. Those that like to navel-gaze can marvel at the World Serpent in 4K on PC, as well as the game featuring ultra-widescreen support. You’ll be able to unlock the framerate as well as “[d]ial in your settings via a wide range of graphical presets and options.” Alongside this, the game will feature native Dualshock 4, Dualsense, and re-bindable mouse and keyboard controls.

With the PC port, you’ll receive digital content such as the several skins for Kratos’ shield and the Death’s Vow armor set for both Kratos and Atreus. However, this PC port will set you back two things: $49.99 (49.99€/£39.99) and about 80GB of hard-drive space. I recently gave my opinions of the PS4 version very quickly over on our YouTube channel. In the video, I called it one of the greatest games, and one of the greatest stories in games, ever released. Now God of War (2018) will appear on PC just in time for 2022’s God of War: Ragnarok.
