Back 4 Blood, the successor to Left 4 Dead, has been a highly anticipated game from fans of the Left 4 Dead franchise. Luckily, it seems the public at large won’t have to wait much longer for the game to go into Open Beta. Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios have announced the launch date for Back 4 Blood’s open beta, along with some interesting new details.

The Open Beta for Back 4 Blood will open in two phases. For people who pre-ordered the game, or pre-order it beforehand, there will be an Early Access period beginning on August 5th and lasting through August 9th. After that, the public at large will be able to start their adventures in the beta from August 12th through August 16th.

You can still register at this link if you want to try and get into the Early Access portion of the Beta without pre-ordering the game. However, pre-orders guarantee you a spot in the Beta without any sort of chance. It also seems like Early Access players will be able to play both portions of the Open Beta. Additionally, both Open Beta segments will be playable on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One Consoles, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

In case you weren’t aware, Back 4 Blood’s story takes place after an outbreak where most of humanity has either been killed or infected by the parasitic Devil Worm. Some period of time later, a group of apocalypse veterans called the Cleaners have rallied to take on the infected horrors known as the Ridden and reclaim the world.

It won’t be long before the October 12th launch date for Back 4 Blood is upon us. If you’re itching to give it a go, definitely check out that Open Beta!
