Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Gets New Trailer

The Super Monkey Ball franchise is something that I came to love rather late in its lifespan. The Yakuza games introduced me to the characters and then later I played one that was released on Switch. Now Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is bringing all 3 of the original Super Monkey Ball games to life this October in a new HD remaster experience. Sega has revealed a new “Wondrous Worlds” trailer, giving even more information.

Here is what the press release has to say about the trailer, which shows off the worlds and main story mode of Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. “Roll through the lush scenery of Jungle Island, catch a spa day in the Bubbly Washing Machine, or navigate the devious mazes of Dr. Bad-Boon’s Space Colony hideout in your quest to save your beloved bananas!

Immersive comic-book-style storytelling and a delightful cast of new playable characters debut in this faithful remaster, which features every world and stage from the beloved original games enhanced with new graphics and content.”

The press release also mentioned pricing and release dates on PC and Consoles. “Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania launches on October 5, 2021, for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for $39.99 (console) and $29.99 (PC). The Digital Deluxe edition will retail for $49.99.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will also support Xbox Series X Smart Delivery immediately on release, ensuring players will only have to buy the game once to play it on their favorite Xbox console. Additionally, buy the digital PS4™ version from PlayStation™Store or the physical version from a retailer and play the PS5™ version at no extra cost when it launches.”

I’m pretty excited for Banana Mania to release. I think it’ll be fun to just dive into the world of Super Monkey Ball and experience the franchise’s origins. There will be some that are experiencing it for the first time like me, but veterans will likely enjoy diving in again too.
