E3 is both my favorite time of year and my most stressful. Making sure Phenixx Games brings you the most complete and accurate coverage of all the conferences is hard but seeing all the new and upcoming games is so exciting and fun. Now, let’s recap the jam-packed Future Games Show, presented by Gamesradar+. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see what they have in store for us!
First up is the World Premiere of Instinction by Hashbane. We don’t have much information yet, but Instinction is the spiritual successor to Dino Crisis. In an interview for Oficina da Net Richard Gold, Project Development Lead said:
“Obviously we all love and continue to appreciate what Dino Crisis was and what it meant to many players who were able to play it in its heyday. We just want to recreate what we all felt back then and also instill that experience in a new generation of players, with modernized gameplay and mechanics.”
Gold also said Instinction will support mods, be semi-open world, and will have First Person and Third Person camera options. There’s no release date just yet but is expected in 2022.
Next up, Grow: Song of the Evertree by Prideful Sloth is a Sandbox adventure about the healing power of nature. According to the press release:
“Players are introduced to the once vibrant and colorful world of Alaria, abandoned and overrun by the mysterious Withering. Over time, Alaria has faded and the magnificent Evertree – whose many worlds once resided on its countless branches – is now nothing more than a sapling with its splendor long erased from memory. As Everheart Alchemists, players will learn how to nurture, care for, and grow new and unique worlds within the branches of the Evertree. As the old inhabitants return and life begins to blossom, players will be able to meet them, learn their stories, and create a dream town to nurture a blooming community.”
Grow: Song of the Evertree will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch later this year.
