Do you like drug-induced paranoia, with lots and lots of side jabs at the larger gaming world? Then you must love Devolver Digital’s yearly not-showcase showcase of all the games they are or possibly aren’t making. Yes, it is that time of year again where we watch all the shows, sleep for three days, and assume only one of them forced drugs upon us. Announced Friday (it is always a Friday, why do I take them off?), Devolver Digital’s latest showcase was announced, and it isn’t part of E3 this year.

Part of Summer Game Fest, for which I always add an S to Games for some reason, the showcase will take place at 1:30 PM Pacific Time, 4:30 PM Eastern Time, and 9:30 PM if you are in the UK. It has been an interesting time for Devolver recently, and I believe it was the case last year as well. Devolver did a strange post-post showcase full of stupidity and a jab at the PC Gaming Showcase’s talk-show format. However, this was when they did a very late show in the runtimes, going all night long. With the Mid-afternoon slot, one might hope for a more toned-down post-showcase show, at least I do.

Nonetheless, following the announcement Devolver did what only Devolver would do, take a jab at the MCU and at everyone who tweets them saying the showcase wasn’t funny. So I guess, for all that changes more just stays the same. I assume we’ll all be asking ourselves what went wrong in Nina Struthers’ childhood to inflict all of this upon us.
