I’m making a conscious effort to cover more news in regards to Humble Bundle and the Humble Store. In the interest of transparency, that’s due in part to Phenixx Gaming’s status as a Humble Partner. However, when I initially learned of this particular bundle, I knew I had to write about it before it ends regardless of our partnership. This bundle is (in my mind) a valiant humanitarian effort and a way to bolster your libraries of Steam games, software, and books.
The Humble Heal: COVID-19 Bundle will set you back $20 USD or however much more than that you wish to donate if you can spare the cash. In exchange, you’ll receive a veritable cornucopia of games, software that you might find useful, and a handful of ebooks. I say we start with the games, since they’re the most numerous items in the bundle. All told, you’ll get twenty-three new games if you purchase this bundle. Of course, all of them are redeemable on Steam.
The titles present in this bundle are as follows: Into the Breach, Baba is You, BioShock Remastered, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Undertale, Hyper Light Drifter, Tooth and Tail, The Witness, This War of Mine, Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package, Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, SUPERHOT, Stick Fight: The Game, Portal Knights, Wargroove, Brütal Legend, Death Squared, Crusader Kings Complete, Pinstripe, Teleglitch: Die More Edition, Dwarfs!?, Dead in Bermuda, and Bury Me, My Love.
Now, I’m not going to go into detail about every game I’ve just listed off. I suspect that would take just short of an eternity, and I know neither you nor I have that kind of time. However, I still hope that massive list of twenty-three games is enough to at least get you to consider checking out the bundle. As it happens, I already own the vast majority of the titles in question, but there are still certain aspects of this bundle that catch my eye.
I must admit that I’m also not very interested in the selection of software included in the Humble Heal COVID-19 Bundle, but perhaps it may be of use to you. What really intrigues me are a few of the ebooks contained within this collection. I should also mention that a couple of the books in this bundle sound quite appropriate considering the fact that May is Mental Health Awareness Month, as both Alexx and Keiran have recently written about.
For example, this bundle contains You Can Do All Things by Kate Allan, which professes to be full of “drawings, affirmations, and mindfulness to help with anxiety and depression.” Right next to that title on this bundle’s Web page is Coping Skills: Tools & Techniques for Every Stressful Situation, by Faith G. Harper, Ph.D. Obviously, managing stress is a huge facet of maintaining a mentally-healthy lifestyle. These two books are just a couple of examples of how I think this bundle is appropriate for Mental Health Awareness Month.
On a final note, Humble will be giving 100% of the proceeds from sales of this bundle to four relevant charities. In case you’re curious, those charities are Direct Relief, Doctors Without Borders, International Medical Corps, and GiveIndia. If you want to grab a copy of this bundle and donate just by doing so, I advise you to act quickly. The Humble Heal COVID-19 Bundle will remain available until Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at 10am Pacific Time.
