One of the hottest shows getting buzz in the anime world right now is Godzilla Singular Point. It’s a great time to be a Godzilla fan in general too. This show and the new Kong Vs. Godzilla film is satiating fans in a way that many believe could lead to even more movies and shows. The good news for fans in the US is that the series is on Netflix. The bad news: Japanese streaming rights are exclusive through much of the first half of 2021.
So, when can fans in the US watch Godzilla Singular Point? A new announcement points to a June release in the US on Netflix. There are some sites that are hosting it illegally, but Netflix and production studio Bones are taking them down when they can find them. It’s best to just wait and from the reviews from fans in Japan, it will be well worth it come this summer. For now, we’ll just have to keep looking forward to the show’s release.
The plot is pretty straightforward from the synopsis offered by Netflix. Young geniuses Mei Kamino, a female researcher, and Yun Arikawa, a male engineer, start looking into some weird stuff happening in Japan. It all points back to the historically destructive kaiju Godzilla. We all know the humans are rarely the focus in Godzilla movies, but they sound like decent characters this time around. Here’s hoping the show is as good as it sounds. We can’t wait to check it out in June on Netflix!
I can’t be the only one hoping for a Godzilla game in all of these new projects right? Wouldn’t it be great to get a realistic, modern-day game where you can play as the monster? The movie game for King Kong in the 2000s was pretty good about giving you that power in a sensible way. Let us know in the comments if you want to see something like this in the future!
