Happy Holidays from Phenixx Gaming!

Hello to all the folks that have been reading our content this year! Whether you are a new reader or someone who has been joining us since last year, we can’t begin to tell you how happy we are to have you. 2020 has been a trying year for a lot of people and we have tried to provide content that will at least give people a reprieve from the gloomy news cycle.

For those of us here at Phenixx Gaming personally, we’ve all had our ups and downs due to the pandemic and everything that entails. We saw a few staff members leave to go on and do other things, but we also gained some great voices too. There were a few that were short-lived contributors, but the content they shared with us (and you) was no less valuable.

As Editor in Chief, I don’t normally write articles directly to our readers, but like last year, we’re ending the year off on a quieter note. The Phenixx Gaming team will be taking a two-week break (from December 19^th to January 2^nd) to spend time with our families, rest, and recharge. We won’t be leaving you in the dark completely though! Over the past few weeks we’ve been compiling articles that we are scheduling ahead through those days so you’ll have some stuff to read.

Some of these articles include a guide to the upcoming Steam Winter Sale, our picks for Game of the Year, and a few other fun things. In 2020 we saw a large amount of growth in terms of our readership and we hope to continue providing more of the content you’ve been enjoying when we come back in 2021. There are some other surprises we have in store as well, though we won’t spoil those just yet.

I also just wanted to mention that if you haven’t noticed, over on our Twitter page, we’re usually looking for new members to join our team. If you want to know more about that, you can check out this article and go read about what we’re looking for. We want to strive for an even more diverse team in the future.

Aside from that, we want to thank everyone who has been reading and supporting us this year. The growth we’ve seen in readership and the slow, careful growth of our YouTube channel has been thanks to you. In fact, if you weren’t already aware, we regularly update the widget at the bottom of the home page of the site to showcase the latest YouTube video. So, if you read this and are curious you can go check us out over there.

To wrap this up, I want to mention something I said last year. Phenixx Gaming is and has always been a passion project. No matter what goes on in the world, our work providing reviews, news, and editorials is something that came out of a singular goal; a goal to make an inclusive space for people who love games as much as we do.

In 2021 we’ll continue doing what we do best. We’ll keep talking about diversity, inclusivity, accessibility, and all the things we’ve touched on this year. None of these things have stopped being important to us and we are so very glad to be able to share these things with you. Thank you for joining us on this adventure and we’ll see you in 2021.
