I know I’m not the only one when I say that I love crime shows. Crime shows, crime novels, true crime, you name it and I’ll probably want to dig into it. The mind of a criminal is a fascinating thing sometimes. However, have you ever considered what being the cleaner must be like?

In Body of Evidence, an upcoming puzzle game releasing on December 17th, you’ll play as a cleaner, also known as a body disposal specialist. According to the press release, you will “Accept jobs from various people, from cops to the mafia. Make connections, follow the storyline full of plot twists, low-poly bloody scenes, a wicked sense of humor, and tons of pop-culture references. Always stay sharp, expect the unexpected, and of course… leave no evidence.

Here is more on what the press release has to say about Body of Evidence: “As a “cleaner” you need to get rid of the body and make sure there is no evidence left behind. Remember, you’re on a clock. Think fast, use proper tools, and don’t mess up… Leave one smear of blood and you’re in trouble. All of this in a low-poly noir style.

Can’t open the door? Get that lockpick out and work that lock. Use a mop, a brush soaked in some soap, or a nearby hose to make the mess disappear. You should probably use some luminol to expose some hidden blood stains as well… Cuz the police won’t miss those! Then just leave carrying the corpse in a body bag like nothing ever happened.

The developers have also stated that Body of Evidence will release at a $9.99 price point. That doesn’t seem too bad considering all the puzzles and everything described above. The game is also done by the developers of House Flipper and boasts 30 levels in total. I for one can’t overstate how excited I am to give this a try.
