Katamari Damacy Reroll is Now Available on PS4 and Xbox One

Well color me surprised and wrap me in a blanket. After spending hours playing Katamari Damacy Reroll on Nintendo Switch, an interesting press release rolled into my email box. As of November 20^th, 2020, Katamari Damacy Reroll, the remastered version of Katamari Damacy, is now available on PS4 and Xbox One.

I didn’t know that this wasn’t the case already. In fact, I assumed that when it released on Switch they released it simultaneously on all platforms. For those who are unaware of what Katamari Damacy Reroll is, let’s dig into what the press release has to say about the premise.

“Help! The King of All Cosmos destroyed the stars from the sky! He is sending you, the Prince, to create a whole new set of stars. On Earth, you will have to roll balls called Katamari, which will get bigger and bigger as they collect all sorts of stuff on their way from pencils, candies to cars, buildings, animals, people, and much more!

Grow your Katamari as big as you can and turn them into stars, bringing the night lights back!”

The press release also reiterates that Katamari Damacy Reroll is now available on PS4 and Xbox One, at a price point of $29.99 USD. It goes on to state: “Enjoy the wacky world of Katamari Damacy REROLL and its tiny details with enchanting graphics, smooth controls, and adjusted difficulty for a whole new level of rolling enjoyment. Turn the sound on and chill at home with a funky and jazzy playlist of renowned Japanese artists. Your Katamari journey begins now!”

Personally, I entirely agree with the description there. Katamari Damacy Reroll is well worth your money and is a great game to play with friends, kids, and adults. I absolutely suck at it, but it is a fun time-waster and something to do that is a little bit different from the norm. So, now PS4 and Xbox One players can get their hands on it! I would assume the backward compatibility applies to next-gen consoles too.
