Is Brewster Coming to New Horizons in 2021?

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons world is busy this time of year with several holidays. We just finished up Halloween and we’re looking ahead to Present Day. Plus, mushrooms and acorns are keeping players busy as they try to acquire all the seasonal DIYs and items. However, what’s coming in the new year? A lot of players are hoping we’ll see Brewster. If you’re new to the Animal Crossing world, then let’s talk about who that is and why so many are hopeful.

Brewster is the owner and operator of The Roost Cafe. The character and cafe show up in Animal Crossing: Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf. Heck, there’s even an appearance in Pocket Camp. The Roost is a fun place where you can grab a coffee each day for 200 bells. In New Leaf, you could even serve coffee to your villagers. Each villager had a particular drink they preferred and it enriched your relationship to serve up their favorites.

Seeing Brewster and The Roost show up in 2021 would make a lot of sense. Firstly, the January and February months will be a bit slow with seasonal content. This would make for a great chance to introduce something new ahead of the Spring season. It’s worth noting too that this is all inversed for the Southern Hemisphere. They’re just now getting summer content those of us in the Northern Hemisphere enjoyed earlier this year.

If The Roost makes an appearance in 2021, we’ll likely all be lining up to try drinks and even catch a K.K. Slider show. That’d be nice to have him perform inside the cafe instead of right in front of the Resident Services building. I mean, c’mon, who picked the spot right in front of the door?! I’m sure Nintendo has other things up their sleeve as well, so here’s hoping for surprises old and new in 2021!
