A lot of players who enjoyed Tom Clancy’s The Division moved onto The Division 2 last year. While everyone has their opinions on the series, many find themselves enjoying The Division 2 for its upgrades in gameplay and progression. I’m sort of in the minority because I enjoyed the setting and experience of The Division a lot more. So, if I’m arguing I like the first one more, and you’ve never played it, the question becomes whether or not Tom Clancy’s The Division is still active. Here’s what you should know.

Is Tom Clancy’s The Division Still Active?

The problem with a game like The Division is that it relies heavily on multiplayer to access its entire array of gameplay features. The best part of The Division to me is the setting. The bleak winter setting of the game makes the entire experience feel dystopian. The Division 2 is a bit brighter in color and scenery, and to me, it makes the whole game a little less fun.

I’m not saying it’s a perfect game, but I really enjoyed my time with The DivisionSo much so that I decided to revisit the game when it came to Xbox Game Pass. I hoped to find a few new people trying the game out, but instead, I was shocked. The Division player base on Xbox One is thriving, thanks to the free-to-play access for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

How to Get The Division on Xbox One For Free

If you’re interesting in trying The Divisionyou might want to try a free trial of Xbox Game Pass. If you’re a current subscriber, you can download the game for free. Yes, The Division 2 is newer and currently still being actively supported by Ubisoft, but The Division is a wonderful dystopian shooter with a lively player base thanks to Xbox Game Pass.
