The topic of exclusivity in the gaming industry has always been a touchy subject, even more so in the PC gaming community. Fans of Hideo Kojima’s latest title Death Stranding will be happy to note that you will be able to play it on your preferred platform when it releases on PC; you’ll be able to play it on either Steam, or the Epic Game Store in Summer 2020.

With news recently stating that 505 Games would be handling the publishing of Death Stranding, most assumed Epic would take this chance to make another highly anticipated title exclusive to their platform, similar to titles like the 505 published game Control.

Thankfully, that doesn’t seem to be the case this time as 505 themselves confirmed in a recent blog post that Death Stranding would in fact be launching simultaneously on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Along with this announcement, The Death Stranding store pages are live now for pre-orders on both stores.

This is good news for PC gamers, as Epic Games currently has an ongoing war with Steam to get as many games they can away from Valve as possible. This has led to an annoying situation of having way too many launchers just play your games. Some people don’t mind, but others do.

There isn’t much information on either storefront right now about the game. There are also no system requirements listed other than the steam page stating it’s use of achievements and partial controller support.

Meanwhile, some PS4 owners already have the luxury of owning and playing the game, as it has recently just been released. So far it has garnered mixed reviews, and until the PC release it will be hard to tell how well the game does in terms of sales, for now at least.

Those who are excited for the PC release can pre-order Death Stranding on either store right now for £54.99/$59.99 before its Summer 2020 release.
