Given we’ve covered all the falls of the most recent release of WWE and 2K’s WWE 2K20, we should also cover when they are climbing back from an all-out mess. As we’ve previously spoken about, the developer and publisher have stated their intention on fixing the issues with updates to the mess they’ve made. From characters clipping through the floor, character models looking like a punched bag of sick, the game being unable to run in full-screen mode on PC without errors, endless crashes, among the hodgepodge we’ve stated before, and more.

Late last week, the game got the first in a series of updates meant to fix the multitude of issues the game has. Last week’s update, 1.02, is claimed to fix: gameplay, controls, graphics, clipping, hit detection, the wrapping of characters, image downloads, object interactions, hair physics, attire, custom superstars, commentary, and online play, among other issues. So it basically fixes the whole game. As much as the game may have some of these issues addressed, I’ve seen my share of issues persisting, and I know people still having crashes fixed only by the removal of tattoos with this patch. As far as a first update to address the issues, it may have indeed solved some of your issues.

Nonetheless, in the press release from the developer, they state: “The patch addresses reported concerns regarding the following issues and we expect to roll out additional patches in the near future to address additional concerns.” Followed by the list we’ve provided. Clearly, the company is trying to use all their graces they have left to pull back fans they are on the edge of losing.

This is a problem the wrestling promotion is on the edge of anyway, with AEW’s Dynamite proving a ratings hit for TNT on Wednesday nights, WWE don’t want to lose fans anywhere. (linked above) As Sony is issuing refunds, the weekly shows sometimes dropping viewership, and competition knocking at their door. WWE nor 2K wants this bad press, so I expect the updates will be coming thick and fast. This comes along with rumors of the competition looking into making their own game, as well as former developer Yuke’s looking to fight 2K, both are under understandable pressure.
