Capcom has finally revealed details on the PC version of the Iceborne DLC for Monster Hunter World. In the trailer below, Capcom showcases Ultra-widescreen support, optional high-res textures, which are available from launch. Mouse and keyboard controls have been tuned and made stable, frame-rates are uncapped and the game now supports DirectX 12.
Iceborne will also feature a new story, a new base of operations in the form of Seliana, new significantly more challenging Master Rank missions, improved hunting, the aforementioned quality of life enhancements, and more.
Capcom also states that the first of the free DLC for Iceborne, the horned ape Rajang, will arrive after launch. This is somewhat of bad news to PC fans as they get content later than others. Other returning monsters include the Nargacuga, Tigrex, and Brachydios, while the likes of the brute wyvern Banbaro and elder dragon Velkhana make their first appearance in the series.
Free post-launch support begins in early February on the platform. Aside from the new monsters, you’ll be able to add more features to your room and, as an added bonus, players should expect the Resident Evil collaboration soon afterward. Capcom adds that the updates will arrive simultaneously on PC and consoles in the future.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be available in two digital editions on Steam. There’s the standard edition, which only includes the expansion and costs £34.99 ($38.76 USD), and a Digital Deluxe bundle which costs £41.99 ($46.52 USD). It features the Iceborne expansion, the Silver Knight Layered Armour Set, three new gestures, two sticker sets, the Rising Dragon face paint and Flowing hairstyle, and also the Traditional room decor set. Players who Pre-order the expansion on steam will also receive The Yukumo Layered Armour Set.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be available January 9th, 2020 on Steam.
