I’ve previously spoken about Wolfenstein: Youngblood‘s break from the convention of de-Nazification in Germany. If you don’t know, the Wolfenstein series is exclusively about punching Nazis with little pointy metal fists fired out of a machine at high speeds. While we can’t condone punching Nazi’s nor can we say a specific F-word they used at the Bethesda showcase (Probably for that one wooing guy), we can say the Wolfenstein series is fun.

Well, the metal nazi punching simulator with co-op is coming a day early for PC users. While promoting Youngblood on Twitter, some users asked why Bethesda’s tweet for the release on the 26th of July didn’t feature the PC release. It turns out that those that have already bought Youngblood will get it a day early, and you will be able to buy it and play on the 25th of July.

One could assume this is to coincide with Bethesda’s convention QuakeCon, which starts this Thursday. This is the same convention that will see id Software’s studio direction leave the company after twenty years of service. Though, while we assume this is the reason, the Steam page for Wolfenstein: Youngblood still states the 26th as the release (at the time of writing).

This time around you will be playing as either Jess and Soph, BJ Blazkowicz’s teenage daughters in the Nazi-occupied Paris of an alternate history 1980. Following nineteen years from the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Blazkowicz is missing and you have to kill Nazis to find him. Though while the game is mostly co-op focused you can play the game alone with AI. I would assume this is much like playing Overcooked on your own, quite hard indeed.

However, you are able to do daring tag team moves, which could be much like wrestling; AKA All show and no effect. You also have access to a few new weapons to aid you both in your Nazi killing. Wolfenstein: Youngblood releases Thursday the 25th of July on PC, and will release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on the 26th of July.
