As expected, fans can look forward to a new Call of Duty this year; although the nature of the game was wasn’t clear until recently. With rumors of another Modern Warfare game going around for a while, finally we have an official confirmation by Jason Schreier of Kotaku; that this year’s Call of Duty game is called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Simply put, this is not to be confused with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which released in 2007, or its’ remastered version. Regardless of the same name, it’ll be a new game it will most likely be a soft reboot for the franchise.

Although this title is bound to cause confusion among the casual player base of the series.

Fans waiting for a full reveal of the game for quite some time are growing impatient waiting for more details. Especially as announcement on the series are usually done between late march and early may. It seems the game is set to receive its full reveal on Thursday, May 30th. With multiple media sites and outlets stating its reveal date will be May 30th not much else is known including how much will be revealed, but its safe to say the campaign and multiplayer will be revealed.

The little details we do know about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, are that the campaign is taking inspiration from the famous “No Russian” mission from Modern Warfare 2; for a more dramatic and impactful story campaign. There are also rumors that claim Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will not have a Battle Royale mode or Zombies mode, unlike the most recent COD game.

Fans who want further details will have to wait till E3 2019 where Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be featured in an E3 Coliseum panel hopefully all information will be revealed then.
