The DC Universe app, full of animated and live action content featuring DC characters, is coming to Xbox One.

The availability of the DC Universe app on Xbox One adds to the increasing amount of places subscribers can use their membership plan. This new announcement gives DC fans one more option to access exclusive content and experiences not available anywhere else. A DC Universe subscription can be activated online and accessed directly through an Xbox One. DC Universe is a relatively new way for fans to enjoy DC content, and as supporting hardware grows, so will its reach.

“Since we launched DC Universe last fall we’ve been on a mission to expand our reach on new platforms. Our growing list of highly acclaimed original series, amazing library shows and thousands of comics are now accessible to DC fans and Xbox users alike,” said Sam Ades, the senior vice president, and general manager of DC Digital Services. Great timing too, seeing as the lineup is only getting more and more enticing. Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders, and Doom Patrol, are already out and available for subscribers to watch. Take those, along with the highly-anticipated upcoming series planned like Swamp Thing, premiering on May 31st, Harley Quinn, and Stargirl, coming in the next year.

With Marvel set to release content on the new Disney Plus streaming app, DC Universe may have some fierce competition. The redeeming factor of this service is the amount of DC projects lined up for release. With a few hits, the platform could really take off.

DC Universe is available today at $7.99 per month, or $74.99 annually in the U.S. on iOS, Amazon Fire TV, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, as well as the web and mobile web, with more platforms coming soon.
